sector are made up of companies of various sizes. Many tiny companies with 2 or 3 staff work successfully alongside global companies.

at least 3 different models of product to ensure size, set up and funding of the product on organisation. Small companies pitch their ideas and cost towards the company which invite the company to supply their ideas. one of the companies are commissioned and chosen to provide their ideas. consultation,design,  production, delivery, payment.


broadcast television and radio have different funding. The bbc recieve income through licensing fee. commercial broadcast funded by presenting advertisements.

industries such as film games and sound recording involves one large company putting up funding. Hollywood film or global music wouold put money into film or recording a new album.

indies and the internet
the internet offers ways for film makers, musicians and radio broadcasters to reach a target audience. small independent companies or new bands no longer have to wait until they have the backing of a conglomerate or major broadcaster.

franchise and format
successful films can produce income not just through box office, television or DVD sales, but through licensing other companies to use the name, logos and characters of film in computer games, TV spin offs or book of the film.

look into commercial broadcasting in your local area, how do they ensure stable listenership?
within my local area I keep listening to my particular broadcast station which is Capital FM through sustaining a stable relationship by using top 40 hits to keep up to date and listen to new songs frequently.
