Office of communication (Ofcom)- regulate all communications from the media. So the sector its based on is mainly communication such as how a company would use social media to communicate with their audience. They make sure that action within communication with the audience of a company doesn't harm a particular audience and keep into their standards

Advertising standard authority (asa)- make sure advertisement is suitable to standards. Asa apply restrictions on content advertised so that language and subject of the advertisement is restricted to be shown before the watershed.

british board of film classification (BBFC)- apply the age rating and make sure films meet the standards. They make sure that the film product is accurately classified within the right age group so that some content are restricted from children under the classification.

Pan European Game information (PEGI)- ensures that are labelled age according to the content of the product. PEGI makes sure that video games are classified depending on the content which would not be suitable towards a particular age group such as violence,sex, bad language, etc.

Independent Press Standards Organisation(IPSO)-IPSO is the independent regulator for the newspaper and magazine industry in the UK. We uphold the highest standards of journalism by monitoring and maintaining the standards set out in the Editors' Code of Practice. IPSO regulate what content and material is present so that the material doesn't harm or offend a age, race or sex group to maintain.
